Construction of Monstropolis, a new themed land centered on Monsters, Inc., advanced significantly at Disney's Hollywood Studios throughout August and early September 2026. Work progressed on multiple fronts, including installation of support beams and track for the Monsters, Inc. Door Coaster, painting and scaffolding removal from the Glob Theater clock tower, and permits filed for electrical work at the former PizzeRizzo location. By early September, Disney confirmed the land would open ahead of schedule in 2027, with rides, restaurants, and additional attractions planned for the expansion.
