Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios experienced unexpected downtime beginning September 1st when mechanical issues, including a ride vehicle stuck at the second launch, forced the attraction offline. The roller coaster remained closed for three days before reopening September 3rd, only to close again hours later. The ride reopened once more on September 4th and continued operating through the Labor Day weekend, though Disney issued an indefinite closure notice during the extended downtime.
