Disney World's Tower of Terror is undergoing significant exterior refurbishment at Hollywood Studios, including restoration of the iconic lightning strike scarring on the building's facade. The work marks the first major theming change to the 32-year-old attraction, with Disney confirming plans for a new or expanded Twilight Zone "episode" as part of the reimagining. Construction progressed throughout October with crews restoring signature details like the purple lightning strike marks and singe effects that characterize the tower's damaged appearance.
