Disney canceled Marvel's "Wonder Man" after one season, surprising fans and the cast who had recently learned of a second season renewal. Star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II responded philosophically to the unexpected decision, while the show's co-creator and showrunner expressed frustration, noting that contracts had been signed and production schedules cleared before the cancellation. The decision came months after Marvel had announced Season 2, leaving speculation about Disney's reasoning for abruptly pulling the plug on what some outlets called one of Marvel's strongest recent television offerings.
